Purpose of position:
Managing and leading the liabilities team to continually improve customer service levels.
Responsibilities:
Attending to allocation of new claims
Managing liability payments and authorisation thereof
Updating daily payment stats and data
Attending to payment escalation responses
Managing complaints and escalation emails
Authorising and finalising claims
Managing team performance to achieve targets
Dealing with client queries and complaints professionally and in line with company values
Managing escalations and relationships with other insurers
Providing weekly feedback to legal managers
Providing coaching and training of staff
Handling and monitoring performance-related issues as well as disciplinary matters
Requirements:
Matric (essential)
Minimum 6 years' experience in short term insurance claims or legal
Liabilities experience
Management experience (advantageous)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
