Purpose of position:
Support actuarial reporting and decision-making through data analysis, reserve calculations, regulatory capital assessments, investment product reporting, and actuarial model maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Reconciliation and analysis of investment product and policy data
Analysis of product performance, fund flows, and policyholder behaviour (premiums, withdrawals, persistency)
Assist with the design, development, and testing of new investment products and product enhancements
Support actuarial reporting on investment products to management and relevant committees
Provide support to management in the calculation of actuarial reserves
Complete tasks related to the calculation of the regulatory capital requirement
Assist with actuarial model development
Maintain and run the actuarial experience investigation process
Requirements
Matric (essential)
BSc Actuarial Science or BCom Actuarial Science (required)
1-4 years' relevant experience
Candidates with 0 to 3 year's relevant experience will be considered
Experience with Prophet (preferable), SQL and MS Office
Exam progress:
Completed: A111 - A113, A211 - A214, A311, N111 and N211
Beneficial: F105, another F100 and F200
