Description
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Packaging Consultant to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). This strategic, client-facing role focuses on growing and retaining their B2B customer base, specifically within the rigid plastics packaging sector.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), National Diploma, or equivalent analytical/commercial qualification, emphasizing business, consumer, or retail expertise.
- 5-10 years rigid packaging sales experience
- Demonstrable sales experience in a B2B environment, with proven exposure to rigid plastics packaging
- Solid data analysis, commercial insight, and supply chain understanding
- Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and conflict management skills
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities
- Presentable, technically minded, tenacious, and a people’s person
- Own car essential
- Good references
- Clear criminal record
- Must be a South African citizen
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain lasting customer relationships by identifying client needs, managing key accounts, and marketing the company's value proposition in rigid plastics
- Deliver high levels of customer service, sharing expert knowledge of rigid plastics products, solutions, and industry advancements
- Anticipate and resolve customer issues and queries in alignment with company policies; facilitate the efficient delivery of customer projects
- Drive business growth by developing existing accounts and pursuing new opportunities through market insight and strategic negotiation
- Maintain comprehensive administrative records including meeting logs, quote requests, budget planning, and weekly reports
- Proactively manage personal development and keep abreast of technical innovations and sector trends in rigid plastics packaging
- Embody the company's values as a team player and lead by example, ensuring clear communication and support across all levels
