ROLE SUMMARY:
- To inspire a love for learning and for the world we live in.
- To adopt a holistic view to children in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
- To create a positive learning environment and motivate children to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting Maths lessons
- Attendance at all formal school events as indicated by the Executive Head.
- Organisation of field trips.
- Organising guest speakers and presenters
- Be ready to contribute to the extra-mural afternoon programme.
- Be willing to organise / attend camps as per school requirements
- Be available for Regional and National conferences or other training as required
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Have a relevant degree and teaching qualification
- Be registered with SACE
- Have a strong connection with teenagers
- Have proven excellence in teaching Mathematics
- Be energetic and proactive
- Exhibit strong communication skills
- Enjoy supporting and contributing to the success of teams
- Live with high standards and seek consistent improvement over time.
- Have excellent administration skills and a ready attention to detail.
- Be ready to contribute to the extra-mural afternoon programme.
