ROLE SUMMARY:
To inspire a love for learning and for the world we live in.
To adopt a holistic view to children in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
To create a positive learning environment and motivate children to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting Maths lessons
Attendance at all formal school events as indicated by the Executive Head.
Organisation of field trips.
Organising guest speakers and presenters
Be ready to contribute to the extra-mural (afternoon) programme.
Be willing to organise / attend camps as per school requirements
Be available for Regional and National conferences or other training as required
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Have a relevant degree and teaching qualification
Be registered with SACE
Have a strong connection with teenagers
Have proven excellence in teaching Mathematics
Be energetic and proactive
Exhibit strong communication skills
Enjoy supporting and contributing to the success of teams
Live with high standards and seek consistent improvement over time.
Have excellent administration skills and a ready attention to detail.
Be ready to contribute to the extra-mural (afternoon) programme.
