Duties:
Support kitchen operations by training and managing staff
Oversee culinary activities ensuring the quality of dishes
Maintain stock levels and place orders
Monitor food expenses and seek cost-effective alternatives
Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu creation and costing
Train kitchen staff on safety and equipment use
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Coordinate with kitchen staff on needs and usage
Recommend substitutions based on market trends
Foster team cooperation and maintain a positive work environment
Requirements:
2 to 3 years of relevant experience
Proven leadership and team management skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs
Strong understanding of hospitality industry standards
Familiarity with backstock management and cost control
