You will be responsible for the successful selling and promotions of Albany products to meet sales targets and increase market penetration.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
Sales Execution
Account developmentâÃÂÃÂ
Understand sales routes and management thereofâÃÂÃÂ
Schedule regular route rides (minimum twice annually on each route)âÃÂÃÂ
Complete Call CyclesâÃÂÃÂ
Update Profile Cards on a daily basisâÃÂÃÂ
Planning for, and execution of promotion activations, including into distributor networks and clientsâÃÂÃÂ
Manage returns and donationsâÃÂÃÂ
Conduct pricing surveysâÃÂÃÂ
Liaise with Telesales
Manage discounts and conduct discount reviewsâÃÂÃÂ
Understand and conduct bread stand placementsâÃÂÃÂ
Understand and execute customer classification (look of success)âÃÂÃÂ
Fill in as a relief representative where requiredâÃÂÃÂ
Meet weekly and monthly sales targetsâÃÂÃÂ
Build excellent relations with the trade and crewsâÃÂÃÂ
Conduct weekly driver interviews to review route performanceâÃÂÃÂ
Merchandising
Ensure displayed stock does not include damaged or out of date stock. âÃÂÃÂ
Ensure display areas kept clean at all times.âÃÂÃÂ
TBFS management
Manage relationship with TBFS in order to ensure effective use of order book, additional shelf space achieved, shelves properly stocked and clean, stock levels checked. âÃÂÃÂ
Point of sales material erected where possible. Credit ReturnsâÃÂÃÂ
Credit returns minimized as per Bakery policy. âÃÂÃÂ
Ensure TBFS manage stock rotation and rate of sale (ROS)âÃÂÃÂ
Negotiated pricing platforms
Negotiate pricing strategies and deals within mandate
Customer relationsâÃÂÃÂ
Open new accounts (PED)âÃÂÃÂ
Ensure outstanding monies collectedâÃÂÃÂ
Ensure special deliveries made and customer queries handled. âÃÂÃÂ
Quality
Understand the requirements of product qualityâÃÂÃÂ
Learn how to deal with customer complaintsâÃÂÃÂ
Report consumer complaints to Field Sales ManagerâÃÂÃÂ
Manage market incidentsâÃÂÃÂ
Understand and manage the withdrawal/recall processâÃÂÃÂ
Understand the logistics process
Trade MarketingâÃÂÃÂ
Build customer plansâÃÂÃÂ

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
National Senior Certificate
2 years Marketing & Sales Experience
Valid Driver's licence
Computer literate
