Position Purpose
The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Senior Engineering Technician for the production of CAD drawings based on sketches, specifications supplied, or from the incumbents own site / equipment measurements and sketches..
The incumbent is also responsible for administering Document control and the Electronic Document Management System by organizing, uploading, testing data accuracy and rectifying errors in SAP. Other responsibilities include - Marking up of completed crossings, utilization of Drawing Offices specialized computers, specialized scanning equipment and software, plan printers and plotters, in order to provide a service to Transnet Pipelines and its external clients.

Qualifications and Experience
Must have a minimum of Grade 12 with above average computer skills and experience must show aptitude for the Technical and Drawing environment. - Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. • Extensive knowledge on AutoCAD or other CAD (Computer Aided design) system.
Ability to read & understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficient written & verbal communication skills.
