Matric and relevant engineering Diploma/Degree (Electronic/Electrical Engineering)
3 years of experience in BOM Control within a manufacturing/engineering industry
Responsibilities
Create, update, and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for all products, reflecting accurate components, materials, quantities, and costs.
Ensure BOM accuracy by reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier information.
Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and quality control to gather and verify BOM data.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to BOMs.
Analyze BOM data to assess material costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend alternatives.
Work closely with procurement to ensure the availability of materials at optimal prices.
Revisions & updates to BOMs resulting from design changes, engineering updates, or product improvements.
Communicate changes effectively to all relevant departments and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to streamline BOM-related processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance efficiency.
Implement best practices to standardize BOM creation and maintenance procedures.
Provide clear and accurate BOM information to relevant teams for planning, procurement, and production purposes.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment between product designs and BOMs.
