AECOM is currently recruiting for the role of BIM Manager (Civils), this position is responsible for managing the implementation of BIM and Information Management on civils projects for Enterprise Capabilities. This position will offer a hybrid work schedule to include both office and remote work opportunities based from one of 4 office locations in South Africa.
Roles and Responsibilities:
BIM Implementation Strategy - develop BIM Implementation strategy & deliver complex international projects
CDE Management - establish & administer the CDE & support efficient management of multi-stakeholder projects
Project Management - coordinate BIM execution & project delivery with project leadership
BIM Execution - create & maintain the project's industry framework docs: BEP, MIDP, MPDT, appendices etc.
Technical Support - establish data integrated workflows for civils projects & provide support, guidance & training to project teams
Digital Technology & Content Management - oversee the production of smart object content, templates & libraries in the context of the project, deploy the use of AECOM's content management system (Autodesk Content Catalog/UNIFI) onto projects and manage the best practice use of digital technology for collaboration, coordination & delivery
Quality - establish & administer the digital quality assurance control procedures
Collaboration - be an ambassador for a global group working with AECOM region project teams, Enterprise Capabilities office disciplines & other Enterprise Capabilities Digital departments.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 19650 framework and related BIM standards
Experience managing and delivering project information on multidisciplinary Civils projects with geographically dispersed teams
Experience delivering BIM data from Civil and Structural design and BIM software such as any of the following: Revit, Civil3D, InfraWorks, OpenRoads, OpenRail
Experience working and administering a Common Data Environment such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or Bentley ProjectWise
Experience executing multi-discipline coordination, clash detection and issue management and an advanced user of any of the following: Autodesk Navisworks, Revizto, ACC Model Coordination.
Strong background in technical production of 3D and 2D model deliverables for Civils projects, as well as civil structures and utilities
Visual programming - preferred, working knowledge of Dynamo, Bentley Generative Components and/or Grasshopper
Demonstratable a portfolio of BIM for Civils projects
Minimum Requirements:

Experience executing multi-discipline coordination, clash detection and issue management and an advanced user of any of the following: Autodesk Navisworks, Revizto, ACC Model Coordination.

Demonstratable a portfolio of BIM for Transportation projects
Communication - Fluent in English (oral and written), a team player and mentor, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Professional Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology or Construction Technology, or a related discipline project execution or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
10+ years of industry experience in the BIM and Digital Delivery field. Must have previous formal multidiscipline BIM Manager/Coordinator role experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Visual programming - preferred, working knowledge of Dynamo, Bentley Generative Components and/or Grasshopper
International experience working with global project teams. Experience working on projects in any of the following: Australia, USA, Canada, UK, and Ireland, Middle East and/or Asia will be considered favorable.
