MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Credit Application Process
- Reviews information for credit applications and review of facilities
- Allocates to credit analyst for processing
- Management of the deadlines for submission to the various Credit Committees
- Discuss risk issues and/or additional information requirements with the Corporate / Relationship managers
- Liaises with clients to obtain information and clarify queries with clients in order to complete credit /review of facility application.
- Guides and advises credit analyst on the preparation of the credit / review of facility application
- Allocation of credit applications to internal credit analysts and Offsite Credit Analysts
- Monitoring of applications allocated to Offsite Credit Analysts to ensure timeous submission to various Credit Committee
- Assesses credit / review of facility application ensuring accuracy, correctness, adherence to policies and overall quality is met as per required standards, in reasonable time frames
- Manages risk issues and administrative queries of SMCC, ECC and BOD and ensure these are addressed timeously.
- Review facility letters released ie APM/Fees etc
NFD’s Not Finalised Deals
- Ensures and reviews the Loss of Profits calculation and schedule for finalisation of deals
- Ensure the calculations are submitted to Corporate Admin Supervisor for finalisation on TASL
VRT’s Valuation Review Templates
- Allocates and ensures that VRT’s are completed accurately and submitted to Credit for Review.
Customer Relations & Back Office Function
- Assists the Corporate / Relationship managers with management of the corporate clients iro Credit Applications
- Assist corporate clients in the absence of the Corporate / Relationship managers.
- Liaises with Corporate clients in respect of credit application queries and other related information requirements.
- Assists Corporate / Relationship managers to sign documents with corporate clients as and when required.
Supervision of Staff
- Assists with the delegation of duties to the credit analyst and ensure timeous completion of tasks
- Guides, advises and trains/coach credit analyst in their daily tasks and ensures that they have necessary skills to perform their roles efficiently
- Assists the Corporate Manager with the completion of Performance reviews for the credit analyst.
Facility Reviews
- Maintains a register of facility reviews and obtains information from facility clients in order to timeously complete reviews before expiry date
- Advises Corporate / Relationship managers of facilities needing review and establish time frame and requirements to complete review
- Manages allocation of reviews to credit analysts, brief on requirements and ensure timeous completion
- Review applications and ensure relevant credit committee risk issue / queries are addressed
Reporting
- Responsible for ensuring that required reports are completed accurately and timeously, ie reporting to Executive Committee, Executive Credit Committee, General Manager: Corporate and /or other bank departments.
- Review Pipeline info Update of Monthly reports ie Trade Reviews; Special Mention SM; Insurance; Other Conditions OC and Covenants.
Risk Management
- Assists Corporate Manager in addressing risk management issues iro Trade Reviews; Special Mention; Insurance; Other Conditions and Covenants.
- Allocate and manages tasks assigned to Credit Analysts in the management of Trade Reviews; Special Mention; Insurance; Other Conditions and Covenants.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Accounting / Finance degree
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years’ experience in Credit / Sales environment either as Credit Manager / Credit Analyst
