PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The BB-BEE and Enterprise Development Coordinator identifies both emerging and established local entrepreneurs and identifies to assist them their sustainability and or increase their capacity.
The incumbent is responsible for the development of local BB-BEE vendors, in conjunction with the Marula Enterprise Development and government agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or NQF 7 Equivalent Business Management/Supply Chain essential
- 3 years’ experience as Sound knowledge and understanding of BB-BEE guidelines and Enterprise Development essential
- Proficiency in one or more African language/s essential
- Understanding of SAP and Vendor Management in SAP
- Highly developed and effective negotiating and inter-personal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at different levels of seniority and from different cultures and backgrounds
- Understanding of mining business pressures and priorities and of the relevance of the CSI agenda, and the Mining Charter within South Africa
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides advice to SMME’s regarding the business needs of Marula
- Provides supply opportunities at Marula.
- Introduces prospective SMME’s to Marula
- Assists in the development of local vendors by partnering with the community.
- Establishes local government network to explore opportunities.
- Establishes a network with local business chambers to explore opportunities.
- Vets Vendors by managing external Vetting Company.
- Registers Vendors on the SAP Vendor Master File.
- Ensures database with external Vetting Company is synchronised with SAP Vendor Master File.
- Maintains SAP Vendor Master File.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and vendors to enhance engagement and service levels and support market and knowledge sharing.

- Assures stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive working environment.
- Meets financial targets including utilisation, revenue and cost control.
- Identifies cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
- Assists in the setting of budgets for projects and adheres to budget constraints and targets, undertaking regular reviews as required.
- Overall responsibility for costing/supply/budgetary reviews.
- Risk management, including monitoring performance against targets, to achieve maximum profitability by providing savings in operational costs.
- Identifies and recommends initiatives aimed at eliminating waste, improving productivity and reducing operating costs within scope and assists with the implementation thereof to contribute to the achievement of operational objectives.
- Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimisation.
- Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance.
- Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety.
