Key Responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
Sales and Target Achievement
- Achieve individual weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Contribute towards team and company sales objectives.
- Work closely with management to monitor and improve performance.
- Effectively manage daily activities to meet sales and proposal targets.
Lead Management and Sales
- Contact and engage prospective members using company-provided leads.
- Market Scorpion products in accordance with approved sales scripts and processes.
- Clearly explain product features, benefits, exclusions, and applicable cover.
- Accurately capture member information and policy details.
- Ensure all required disclosures and declarations are made during the sales process.
- Address customer queries professionally and provide a clear summary at the end of each sales call.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Adhere strictly to company policies, sales scripts, and regulatory requirements.
- Treat all customers fairly, professionally, and with respect.
- Maintain accurate records to minimise cancellations, Final Deduction Codes FDCs, and clawbacks.
- Ensure compliance with POPIA and all relevant legislation.
- Refrain from providing financial advice or conducting financial needs analyses.
Administration and Reporting
- Complete all required reports accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, productivity, and professionalism.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and management.
Complaints Management
- Handle customer interactions courteously and professionally.
- Escalate complaints or potential complaints to management immediately.
- Assist with investigations and implement corrective actions where required.
Requirements
MINIMUM CRITERIA AND PRE-REQUISITE COMPETENCIES
Education
- Grade 12 and/or equivalent qualification
- Additional call centre training would be advantageous
- FAIS accreditation will be considered an advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year’s telemarketing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proven track record of achieving individual and team performance goals.
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional telephone manner with strong customer engagement and service skills
