Key Performance Areas
Repair and maintain press machinery and boiler making to ensure customer and company quality standards are met.
Do preventive maintenance as per maintenance schedule and according to job cards and relevant works instruction.
Compile feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data and forward to the Team Leader.
Ensure that company procedures, works instructions and quality systems are always adhered to.
Participate actively in the departmental M2Sas per company requirement.

Technical techniques
Press machinery repair and maintenance and extensive boiler making experience
Manufacturing processes
Basic understanding of quality systems
Welding & Cutting: Proficiency in shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and oxy-fuel cutting.
Metal Fabrication: Ability to cut, shape, bend, and roll thick steel plates and tubes.
Reading of drawing and work drawings, engineering schematics, and isometric piping layouts.
Rigging & Hoisting: Setting up hoists, winches, cranes, and pulleys to safely lift and maneuverer massive metal components.
Pipefitting: Joining, brazing, and assembling complex pipe systems under strict pressure and heating codes.
Mathematics: Calculating angles, circumferences, volumes, and material tolerances.
Weld Inspection: Testing structural integrity using non-destructive methods (e.g. magnetic particles or radiographic testing).
Safety Compliance: Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations, confined space protocols, and hazard mitigation.
Minimum Requirements
Matric/ NQF4
N2/N3
Qualified Boilermaker
Certificate in Maintenance Management and qualified as a coded welder
Min. 3 years' experience as Boilermaker within an automotive environment
