REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE:
- N6 Mechanical Diploma or equivalente.
- Current Quality Inspector role within a manufacturing or engineering environment minimum 3 years.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Intermediate Computer literacy (MS Office).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Control and Inspection:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured components and assemblies
- Ensure products comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Identify, record, and report non-conformances
- Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres, bore gauges, CMM, etc.)
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Compile quality reports and inspection certificates where required
- Ensure proper document control in line with company procedures and ISO standards.
- Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions:
- Assist with root cause analysis of quality deviations
- Support with the implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure adherence to company quality policies and procedures
- Support with internal audits and customer audits when required
- Promote a culture of quality, accuracy, and accountability across the company.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Project teams
- Provide feedback to all applicable personnel on quality matters
- Escalate critical quality risks through the correct channels timeously.
