The Stock Controller is responsible to track stock levels and ensures that the supplies are sufficient to meet the demand of customer
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct stock takes to ensure reconciliation between records and actuals.
- Control stock level days in accordance with Company standards.
- Proactively identify and report on overstocking, under-stocking or out of stock scenarios and engage with applicable role-players in order to address the misalignment and resolve promptly.
- Analyse and implement corrective measures to stabilise flow and inventory peaks.
- Ensure that applicable purchase orders and scheduled agreements are valid and applicable at all times.
- Coordinate stock exit and take-on.
- Identify and report poor performing or dormant stock items.
- Communicate low stock levels
- Be the custodian of stock record & balances.
- Responsible for physical verification, regular reconciliations, and general monitoring of stock activity.
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc inventory levels and consumption reports to all the relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate and participate in monthly and annual stock counts in the field.
- Perform monthly stock reconciliations of physical counts and highlight variances
- Reconcile stock deliveries with purchase orders, proof of delivery and actual invoices.
- Support accurate and timely reporting through ensuring all stock data is updated correctly.
- Build relationships with existing vendors and identify new vendors to service emerging needs
Education & Qualification
- Diploma or at least one year certificate in Logistics Management
- Valid Code EB drivers’ licence
Experience
- 3 years relevant experience in a retail ICT environment
- Warehouse: 1 year (Required)
