Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Multi-Modal Freight Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various transportation methods, including air, sea, rail, and road, and will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive freight estimates to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide accurate freight cost estimates for multi-modal shipments, including air, sea, and road transport.
- Analyze customer requirements and transportation needs to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to gather and verify rate information.
- Prepare and present detailed quotations and proposals to clients, addressing their specific needs and preferences.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, transportation regulations, and industry developments.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of freight solutions to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and resolve any issues related to freight pricing, routing, and documentation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Proven experience in freight estimation, logistics, or a related role within a Freight Forwarding company.
- Industry Qualification
- Strong knowledge of multi-modal transportation methods and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Cargowise, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
