Introduction
SVA is seeking a Weighbridge Operator who would be responsible for the accurate weighing, recording, and processing of all incoming and outgoing vehicles using approved weighbridge software. The role ensures compliance with customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), health and safety requirements, and internal reporting systems while supporting efficient site operations and customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities

Accurately operate the weighbridge system for all inbound and outbound vehicles.

Capture, verify, and maintain accurate operational and administrative records.

Ensure compliance with site procedures, customer requirements, and health and safety standards.

Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and internal teams to support smooth site operations.

Coordinate basic scheduling and information flow related to deliveries and collections.

Report operational issues, discrepancies, safety concerns, and exceptions to management.

Assist with general administrative and stores-related tasks linked to weighbridge operations.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised weighbridge and office environment.

Follow instructions, policies, and procedures under the direction of the Regional Compliance Manager.

Support operational requirements as needed, including flexibility with duties and working hours.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 12
-
Previous experience in a weighbridge, logistics, stores, or similar operational role (preferred).

Strong computer literacy, including data capture and record-keeping.

Experience with weighbridge software and inventory systems (advantageous).

Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage high task volumes.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Physically fit to perform manual and administrative duties.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
