Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and results-drivenSenior Mine Planner to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic and tactical mine plans that maximize resource extraction, optimize production, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate effective systems management as part of a process/function.
- Implement and maintain appropriate structures, processes and guidelines necessary for effective operational execution of the planning function.
- Updating and maintaining mine plans and designs in line with changes in operations, mining methodologies and production targets.
- Ensure adherence to standards, polices, guidelines and practices in with the overall Mine Planning Strategy and relevant legislative requirements.
- Manage the planning calendar, protocols and meetings for mine.
- Monitor the adherence to mine plans and designs to ensure the achievements of productions targets.
- Be proficient in long-term planning and short-term planning.
- Be proficient in Trackless planning and fleet requirement
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in mining, Geology, or a Mineral Resource Advanced qualification in a Mineral Resource Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underground Mine planning of which at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Advanced qualification in a Mineral Resource Management related discipline will be highly advantageous.
- Practical experience on Deswick/Datamine and mine planning
- Microsoft suite package (Advanced knowledge and experience, especially Excel and access.
- Proven ability to work in a team – oriented environment and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to communicate effectively for correspondence in English (speak, read and write).
- Must be in a possession of a valid certificate of fitness

Candidate will be required to undergo a medical examination of fitness as per the Mine’s requirements.
