AWS Certification
SAS Certifications: SAS certifications related to platform administration or programming.
Required Skills and Experience:
Linux Proficiency: Strong Linux system administration skills, including experience with shell scripting, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with users and other IT teams.
Documentation Skills: Ability to create and maintain clear and concise documentation.
Agile/DevOps experience: Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment.
Database experience: Knowledge of database technologies, such as PostgreSQL etc.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is preferred.
AWS Cloud Experience: Proven experience with AWS cloud services. Experience deploying and managing SAS in an AWS environment is highly desirable.
SAS Expertise: Extensive experience in administering and supporting SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya environments. Deep understanding of SAS architecture, metadata management, and security.
Experience with other BI tools: Familiarity with other Business Intelligence and Analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Administration: Administer and maintain SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya environments, including user management, security configuration, metadata management, and performance monitoring.
Installation and Upgrades: Plan and execute SAS software installations, upgrades, and patching, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance of the SAS platform.
Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data, including access controls, authentication, and authorization. Ensure compliance with relevant security policies and regulations.
Linux Administration: Manage and maintain the underlying Linux operating systems supporting the SAS platform, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
AWS Cloud Integration: Design, implement, and maintain SAS platform integration with AWS cloud services, leveraging relevant services.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to SAS users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the SAS platform, including installation guides, configuration settings, and troubleshooting procedures.
