We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Chef with proven expertise in hospital and healthcare environments, particularly in specialised diets and nutrition standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement nutritionally appropriate menus, including therapeutic and specialised diets (renal, diabetic, low sodium, texture-modified, etc.)
Ensure full compliance with hospital dietary standards and clinical requirements
Manage costing, budgeting, and food cost control, ensuring profitability and minimal wastage
Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to deliver consistent high-quality service
Oversee food production, presentation, and portion control
Collaborate with dietitians and clinical teams to ensure patient-specific dietary needs are met
Drive research and development (R&D) initiatives to improve menu offerings and patient satisfaction
Ensure adherence to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
Manage stock control, procurement, and supplier relationships
Monitor and improve service delivery and patient meal experience

Desired Experience & Qualification

Relevant Culinary Qualification (Professional Cookery or equivalent)
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience as an Executive Chef within a hospital or healthcare setting
Proven experience working with specialised/therapeutic diets
Strong knowledge of menu planning in a clinical environment
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, costing, and financial control
Excellent people management and leadership skills
Sound knowledge of food safety legislation (HACCP)
Must have own transport.
