Our client, a global leader in consulting and engineering, is dedicated to providing innovative solutions to critical challenges within the energy and materials markets. They are currently seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to contribute to engineering excellence by:
Executing assigned project scopes effectively
Bringing specialized discipline expertise to support the business
Supporting and supervising task delegation to team.
Responsibilities:
Technical Execution and Quality Assurance: Execute assigned scopes of work, ensuring technical quality, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with international and client-specific standards on instrumentation and control projects.
Project Coordination and Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, manage design documentation, oversee project filing systems, and ensure that all design activities align with project timelines and budgets.
Design Supervision and Guidance: Supervise and allocate tasks to engineering and design teams, provide technical guidance, review documents across disciplines, and conduct design group meetings in a 3D environment.
Problem-Solving and Innovation: Solve complex engineering problems using creative approaches, anticipate potential issues, and deliver innovative, strategic solutions that align with client needs and goals.
Project Management and Client Liaison: Engage with clients on design requirements, manage task delegation, oversee budgets and schedules, participate in factory acceptance tests, and support plant commissioning and project close-out.
Qualifications & Experience:
BSc, BEng or BTech in Engineering or National Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
ECSA registered.
Minimum of 10 years design experience in the mining and minerals processing industry.
Site experience - construction and commissioning.
