Job Advert Summary
- An opportunity as arisen at our operation in Richards Bay which seeks to employ a qualified Diesel Mechanic. The incumbent will be responsible for the servicing/repair and maintenance of all mechanical aspects of the fleet of vehicle operating out of the Depot.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic
- Strong supervisory and communication skills
- A minimum of 5 years working experience as a diesel mechanic
- Must be computer literate
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Problem solving ability
- Own transport
- Drivers licence essential must drive company vehicle when required
- Added knowledge of trucks/trailers/yellow equipment will be advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities
- Repair of the vehicles
- Servicing of vehicles
- Maintenance/upgrade of vehicles/components
- Identifies/diagnoses faults/defects
- Uploading and managing of job cards accurately
- Issuing of parts
- Conducting daily safety toolbox talks
- Accurate compiling of availability reports
- Adhere to safe working procedures
- Must be able to drive to and attend breakdowns
