Duties & Responsibilities
Role Description
- Remains up-to-date with safety procedures.
- Plans for safety events and campaigns.
- Takes SHE into account in the planning of work output.
- Plans for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), with regard to dates, workshops, nomination of service, stock and other resources.
- Collates all informative materials, Komtrax registration forms, warranties and manuals.
- Opens and maintains machine history file for each machine at a customer site. Conducts delivery inspection of machine.
- Plans and prepares for anticipated service calls in conjunction with stakeholder (including RAMP Contracts).
- Plans for the modification of equipment.
- Oversees warranty repairs that may be required at the site.
- Provides technical advice & liaison with centralised Komatsu functions in the Service and Repairs of machines.
- Plans for time to complete reporting.
- Collates information, downloads, inspections, PM clinic & troubleshooting for use in reporting. Compiles recommendations report to the Parts/Branch/Depot Manager for additional components, to meet the component change requirements.
- Monitors the Komatsu machine hours in conjunction with the component hours.
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 with Maths/N3 Technical Certificate
- Trade Certificate (Electrician/Millwright/HEM/Diesel Mechanic)
- MUST have a valid recognised Medium Voltage Certificate aligned with MQA Skills program (Mining positions)
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 - 6 years working experience.
- 2 years supervisory experience (an advantage).
- Trade plus experience of Komatsu products/heavy earth moving equipment in a mining/construction environment. Machine Operator License (an advantage).
