DURATION OF CONTRACT: 3 months 12 weeks
REMUNERATION: R400 per hour for online teaching, face-to-face/virtual contact sessions.
CLAIMING PERIOD: End of Semester 2 of 2026 November/December only
NB: Submitted Previous Results Analysis will be verified with the college/campus for authenticity purposes.
Requirements:
- Relevant REQV 13 or 14 qualifications
- Performance of at least 60% in the previous or most recent national exam for both full-time and/or part-time
- Currently employed as a Lecturer within Tshwane North TVET College with a minimum allocation of 22.5 full time teaching hours for a PL1 lecturer; or 18.5 full time teaching hours for a PL2 lecturer; or 15 full time teaching hours for a PL3 lecturer.
- External applicants with a minimum of one 1 year relevant teaching/lecturing experience in the subjects applying for.
Duties of appointed lecturers
- Develop a work schedules for subjects allocated
- Prepare for and facilitate planned virtual/face-to-face contact sessions as the case might be in line with applicable syllabus syllabi, work schedules and contact session time tables
- Prepare and upload Subject Study Letters on the LMS per allocated subject
- Prepare and upload online teaching material on the LMS and continuously interact with and support students online
- Manage attendance, late-coming and absenteeism of students, including assisting with tracking amendments
- Support students on an appointment basis
- Develop, ensure moderation of and administer assessments in line with applicable TVET Curriculum Instruction ICASS Guidelines
- Duly invigilate internal examination sessions in line with applicable time table
- Mark each assessment within prescribed timeframe and provide progressive feedback to students
- Ensure that departmental term mark sheets are duly and fully completed
- Prepare mark sheets and verify marks
- Develop and submit results analysis per assessment task and for external examinations
- Assist with resolving pending results for the subjects allocated for
- Prepare all ICASS prescribed files throughout the semester for allocated subjects
- Participate in all relevant training initiatives and College/departmental meetings.
