Role Summary
To manage and direct the daily operations and staff of a breeding farm to ensure optimal animal health, productivity, and the successful production of high-quality birds for Welverdiend farm.
Job Description
The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Fully responsible for Breeder Houses.
- Managing staff, risk management and bio-security.
- Welfare of the birds.
- Clear understanding of registers, graphs, vaccinations, ventilation etc.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) qualification.
- A Diploma and or Degree in Animal Production will be advantageous.
- 5 Years Breeder experience in supervising a large poultry production complex.
- The ability to cope under pressure.
- Clear understanding of 20 keys.
- High standard towards housekeeping and attention to detail.
- Basic Computer skills.
- The successful applicant must be self-motivated and have excellent people skills.
- The ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
