- This role will be responsible for the review and preparation of accurate payroll risk areas, reconciliations and related reporting and analytics whilst maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
You bring:
- Matric
- 5 years accounting / payroll related position experience
A Bonus to have:
- BCom degree / studying towards BCom.
- Managerial/supervisory experience.
What You’ll Do For The Brand:
- Control, review and reconciliation of the complete process relating to staff debtors, including T-Shirts and write-offs.
- Performing a detailed review of reconciliations and related reports prepared by the Payroll Team, including, but not limited to, the following:
Salary control account recons
- AOD recons, including the monthly PBA AOL report
- Staff debtor recons and write-offs
- Unclaimed wages and terminations not paid listings
- Subsistence recons
Payroll component related configuration reviews, including, but not limited to the following:
- Tax codes checks
- BCEA Leave set up checks
- COIDA set up checks
- EE set up checks
- Review of risk areas and controls within the department processes. This may include areas such as statutory and internal policy compliance.
- Detailed documentation and reporting of all queries, identified gaps, risk areas and discrepancies for continuous improvement purposes for submission to the Payroll Project and Procedures Specialist.
- Work with the Payroll Operations and Procedures Team Lead to ensure controls are fully documented on the walkthrough and SOP documents.
- Work closely with the Finance department to research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities, prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Provide support to line managers and the finance department with payroll reconciliation related concerns and queries.
- Undertakes related project work and ad hoc, variance and analysis reporting as required.
- Keep abreast of changes within Payroll department.
- Confidentiality of all Payroll information is to be maintained at all times.

- Performs other and related duties and general admin as required.
