Job Description
Minimum of 5 years experience in retirement fund administration - data, payroll and finance.
Must have the ability to analyse, investigate, determine actions required and perform actions to clear remaining scheme balances / assets.
Knowledge of the Pension Funds Act
Data reconciliation experience will be an advantage
Compass experience essential
AWD/Chorus experience would be an advantage
The vacancy is in the umbrella retirement fund administration environment, specifically in the department dealing with the deregistration of participating employers with the FSCA.
Responsibilities
Obtain the necessary data required to determine the remaining scheme assets/balances.
Analyse, investigate, determine actions required and perform actions to clear remaining scheme balances/ assets.
Manage internal and external stakeholders to achieve targets.
Report as required to the project manager as required on progress, blockers, etc.
Coaching and skill sharing with team members
Assist the team with other project related work when required and not specific to scheme assets / balances investigations and clearing i.e. assist with prepare and submit deregistration applications, etc.
Administration
Produce, update, and provide best practice support on complex matters, databases, and other departmental systems, advising colleagues as needed and using expertise to help improve processes and progress.
Correspondence
Prepare tailored letters, emails, and more complex reports.
Data Collection and Analysis
Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
Insights and Reporting
Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
Document Preparation
Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
Work Scheduling and Allocation
Assign work schedules thea team in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
Operational Compliance
Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
