Job Description
The Old Mutual Multi-Manager business is hiring for a Portfolio Implementation Specialist.
This role is crucial in ensuring that investment strategies are efficiently executed across multiple portfolios and typically involves a blend of analytical, operational and tactical responsibilities. This position will be based in Cape Town.
Key responsibilities will include amongst others the following:
Assistance with implementation of new products and liaising with other teams involved in delivering new products.
Review daily asset manager instructions.
Timeous re-alignment and management of fund cash flows - Oversight of cash inflows and outflows, to ensure efficient execution of investment mandate and client instructions.
Actively working to improve the implementation process using formal workflow structures, systems and effective communication lines between all parties involved.
Assist Portfolio Managers with the construction and implementation of live target portfolios.
Produce and review rebalance instructions.
Involvement in broader Multi-Manager team automation projects.
Managing trade execution impact on bank reconciliations.
Manage fee process and execution of trades with investment managers.
Qualification Skill and Experience:
Relevant bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
Relevant experience within asset management or a multi-manager environment.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, assess risk, and make data-driven decisions.
Attention to Detail: Precision is critical to avoid errors in trade execution and portfolio rebalancing.
Knowledge of Financial Markets: Deep understanding of multi-asset class investments and trading dynamics.
Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex investment strategies and performance results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Aptitude for identifying challenges and developing solutions to improve implementation processes.
Deep understanding of products and manager fees
3-5yrs relevant experience.
